Expand Your Attention Capacity to Create a New You

Pleiadian Council:
Hello, and we are the Pleiadian Council. We thank you for allowing this transmission to take place. It is always a gift and an honor for us to be able to establish and co-create with you in this way. We together reflect energy, information, and consciousness that allows both you and ourselves to expand in a deeper connection with Source. And for this we are deeply appreciative.

Today we would like to speak about how you can expand your capacity for attention to create a new you. And this is certainly in alignment with the formula of acting on your highest excitement to the best of your ability without insisting on a particular outcome. One of the aspects of this formula that we will highlight here has everything to do with doing it to the best of your ability.

Thus, many times people mistake the notion of excitement for impulse. Impulse is very different from excitement. Impulse is an almost uncontrollable urge to reach toward pleasure, stimulation, or even information—and certainly perhaps even other people—as a way to distract, fill a void, and turn away from your true excitement.

Your true excitement lies deeper within you. You feel it as a calling, as a yearning, as something that is expansive and deeply passionate. And the trouble is that your world often makes little space for this intensity of passion. Instead, your world asks you to follow a schedule and routine that serves the agenda of institutions and organizations, and requires that you sometimes do not bring your own personal self into the picture. It asks that you do not bring so much of your preferences—your uniqueness—into the scope of things.

And we instead invite you to remember: when you can’t do what you are excited about, you have to do what you must do in a way that’s exciting for you. And that is the process of being truer to your own beliefs and preferences. That is the process of being more honest about your own emotional experiences. It is the process of allowing yourself to know what you desire and need—and understand just as much the ways that you give into impulse.

Saying yes to things that are actually no—that is the opposite of excitement. That is anxiety. And often you become habituated into doing this because you think that this is the way you gain in your world. By self-sacrifice, you establish loving relations and community and all the other things.

But what you must note is: if you begin an engagement with a degree of self-sacrifice, it establishes the pattern that, certainly, when you come back to that relationship, you are both scripted in your own consciousness to repeat what has already been established—a theme of self-sacrifice.

And thus you must look at all of your relationships and note the common themes and threads. Note also the ways that you give away a bit of your personality to accommodate for the other personality. Notice the difference between who you are and who you become around every individual.

Some people will only have this deep realization when they find themselves trapped between two very different sorts of people that they have established relationship with—because they’ve been giving away themselves and practicing the art of self-sacrifice with both of them. And we would say: it is a poor art, if any.

Then, in that moment, there becomes a collapse. The pull of two different magnetic forces brings the individual to lose all sense of self through the way that they may attempt to accommodate to each of the parties. And this tension—this inner war—seems like the ultimate defeat, but actually, this is the beginning.

This is the actual beginning of being who you really are. It begins in the moment when you recognize that you have been choosing to be something you are not for others for so long that you’ve mistaken impulse for excitement.

And thus the process begins: How do I learn how to absolutely focus on what is right for me? Thus, this is the path—acting on your excitement as best as you can without insisting on an outcome.

And that will certainly involve what we’ve described as permission slips. You might call these healing modalities, meditation practices, shamanic rituals, magic practices, inner visualization, affirmations, journaling prompts. You might call this group conversations. You might call this self-assessment.

There are many permission slips out there. And the best thing is that you have a complete understanding of the broad scope of things—why it works for the people who are attracted to it, and what it does for you. And now the underlying mechanism beyond all permission slips is again: they work because you believe that they work.

And just as much, there are things that you learn in the process. There are linguistic frames and specific beliefs that help you see yourself from different angles. And each and every permission slip, they have their own mechanisms. But none of them will function if you don’t develop that belief, that trust, and that faith.

Not necessarily faith in the permission slip itself—but faith in yourself to be able to heal, reorganize your mind, and get to the essentials, ultimately.

Now, within all of these different modalities and paths, focus becomes essential. How do you focus? By choosing one specific object of attention and remaining with it while holding an expanded peripheral awareness. This is the basic mechanism that underlies all meditations.

So when we guide you through a meditation, you are focusing on the visual images or the sensory input that you get—perhaps in the form of clairsentience or clairaudience. When you do a more Eastern-style meditation, you focus on a specific anchor: like your breath, like a phrase or a mantra, like a specific part of your body—while just as much holding the peripheral awareness that encompasses the big picture: that encompasses every different aspect of your body, your automatic functions, the way that the environment affects your inner reality, and so on.

Now when you are reading, you’re focused on the words and the meaning that they create. There are two processes happening: you are processing the words, and you are generating an imaginal interpretation of them that connects you with your larger framework. Both of these are equally important.

And certainly when you’re doing other forms of work—lifting things, carrying things, communicating with people—and anything that brings you to focus your attention, your awareness expands into this part of your brain in the front. You call it the frontal and prefrontal cortex. This is about focus and concentration. And lo and behold, it is very connected to this place in your chakra system you call the third eye.

And it is here that through focus you discover the truth. It is here that through sustained awareness you come to find both heightened clarity and true surrender and relaxation.

Some think, “Oh, it is time for me to just relax now. So, let me just distract myself so that I can unwind.” Yet really, if you take in endless sense impressions without focusing, you don’t necessarily get relaxed—you get dissociated. You start to drift away from your physical form.

So you must come to embrace this seeming paradox: the more focused you become, the more relaxed you become. The more perceptive and sharp your awareness becomes, the more soft and sensual life becomes.

The tension in you is not due to a concentrated effort. It is due to your own choice to not necessarily put all of your energy in the direction of your passion with focus. And as you learn to do so, life takes on an electric quality. And focus will be something that lives within you for a period of time.

Yes, you will learn how to focus. But eventually focusing will become so clear that you will focus to the extent that you find an effortlessness in the focus.

Eventually, once you have mastered a task, your energy doesn’t necessarily move only into this prefrontal cortex when you focus, but instead it lights up within the rest of your brain. And you can experience an effortlessness that goes beyond the need to force yourself to do anything.

Once you master the process, the process works through you.

It’s like riding a bike. They say, “Explain to someone right now: how do you ride a bike?” Explain all of the simple things—like balance. How easy is it to find all of those words? You know it. If you got on the bike, your body would just do it. But to be able to explain it in the same way that you had to learn when you initially did it becomes actually more difficult.

This is again what something becoming second nature really is. And anything that is at one time difficult can absolutely become second nature. And that is also the time when now you get to learn how to focus on something new.

And the more skills that you develop with this masterful focus, the easier it becomes to focus on anything, and the more perceptive you become in general.

Now, oftentimes you attempt to simply receive information. Though remember: your guides, spiritual beings, and the forces around you can only communicate to you through the channel of your own imagination—and your imagination is shaped by the content of information that you take in.

So the language of your own reality is the language that the beings speak to you. And the more that you build new language, new ideas, and new understanding, the more that the funnel of information that you can actually receive expands.

And so we encourage you to be focused in the ways that you choose to continuously learn—as that is essentially the gift of this life experience.

And certainly we could say that in some ways your internet age is helping, in the way that it allows for information to spread and it broadens the scope of what people can bring in. Just as much, at the same time, it leaves so many people vulnerable to impulse—vulnerable to simply taking in only the information provided to you by apps on social media. Not necessarily the sprawling, in-depth content that you might find here, but little bits of distraction that fill a void and keep you from really focusing in the deepest of ways.

And so this is something that will present itself as an interesting challenge for your world to navigate, as it has been. And at this time there is immense potential for those of you who have already developed this level of focus to show up for others who need to recognize that this is a skill they are lacking. This is a skill that is not just going to help them build a better life—it’s an essential tool for their survival, in fact.

So the more that you allow yourself to focus in this way, the more excitement becomes your natural state of being. For it is when you cannot focus that you lack the discernment between what is exciting and what is anxious.

When you have that power to focus, you can shift away from all of the tensions of those forces that are counter to your preferences but reflect anxiety and discomfort and a great sense of dissonance for you, because it doesn’t come into alignment with your values.

You can shift your focus then to what expands you—what opens your heart and what brings you a scintillating feeling of vivid aliveness and vivid connection to your environment and those around you.

This sense of a vivid aliveness, a radical presence—where you take in all of the details in splendor—is a natural state, and a state of erupting joy once you really allow it to take hold.

And so this is what we encourage you to embody and to live through each and every day. And what we share is a part of that larger framework of allowing yourself to be in that way: ecstatic in your passion, ecstatic in your excitement—yet grounded in recognizing there’s no insistence on an outcome.

There’s no outcome even at all. There’s a sense of aimlessness in the true excitement. Yes—your true excitement is aimless. You have a goal in mind, but you enjoy the process so much that if you never got to that goal, you would have absolutely no regrets.

And when you can feel that that is true, then you have absolutely entered a supreme state of flow. And even if it is a supreme state of flow, remember: it can continually refine itself.

And the way it might refine itself is through those moments of contrast—when you fall out of the flow. These are never moments to punish yourself or even say that something has gone wrong. In the moments that you fall out of flow, recognize: I am being shown a reflection of a choice and a belief system that made that choice seem like the better option to me.

What is that belief system? What is the choice that I made? How could I have chosen something different? And how will I prepare myself to make that choice in the future?

There are no mistakes. There are only lessons.

Unless, of course, you continuously choose to get the same lesson over and over and over. That, you could say, is mistaken. But you will find more often than not: if you continuously get the same lesson, there’s a part of the lesson that you’re afraid of seeing.

Now, before we continue, let us activate with a brief meditation that will allow you to know what we mean when we say a deeper level of focus.

Begin by taking a deep breath in. And as you do, imagine light from the center of the universe filling your nostrils—filling your whole body—and allowing that light to spread to every cell, lighting up a web of inner connection.

And exhale, allowing that light to reverberate out, filling up the room with a blazing glow.

Imagine yourself sitting in a waterfall of light that comes from the galactic center. Feel this light pour through the crown of your head and move through all of the arteries and veins and parts of your body that need a bit of an energizing force. Feel the water flow out through your feet into the earth—feeling yourself as one with the earth, and one with the universe and the world around you—noticing the ways that the sense impressions that still might affect you from the room become a part of your own experience.

And now ask for a wave of light to come through that waterfall and enter into your head. Feel this energy flowing into the front part of your brain. And for just a moment, feel this front part of your brain glowing—glowing, glowing—getting brighter, and getting brighter, and getting brighter.

And ask yourself for a moment: have I ever felt a pressure here? Have I ever felt a glowing here? Have I ever felt a feeling of expansion—an openness—here?

This is your focus place. This is the part of your brain that fully turns on when you sit and meditate, or when you sit and read, or write. It’s the part of your brain that gets deeply engaged when you have to put all of your attention into anything.

The strength of this part of you grows with time, and it allows you to tune into inner connectedness.

Feel this part of your brain grow brighter, and notice where the energy moves as it does.

Now bring your awareness slightly inward, towards the center of your brain. You may not know exactly where it is, or perhaps you do—but focus your awareness on the idea of the pineal gland. This part of you regulates your melatonin and sleep. It’s a source of inner light, and it is affected very much by light—just as much as it’s affected by the quality of inner light.

As you allow yourself to activate this front part of your brain, you take in the light of Source. Now allow this light to saturate the pineal gland.

It is the saturation with light that allows your sleep cycles to be well, through the pineal gland’s melatonin. It is this light that allows the chemical named melatonin—rather, after melanin: dark.

The light and the dark are one in this way. The more light you take, the deeper you can go into the darkness of sleep. And this—your nightly return to Source—is how your body rejuvenates, restores, and resets. You press the reset button every night. Trust in that. And if it’s difficult to face the darkness, let in more light.

Allow your awareness to go into the middle center of your brain. This area contains what you might know as the default mode network. This is where your ego lives. This is where your own self-referential thought lives.

Notice how it feels to be in the center of your brain. Notice how here your awareness shifts from an awareness of connection to a greater whole, to a connection to an interiority—an individuality—a “me.”

This isn’t bad. It’s not wrong. Though, if you never focus, all of your attention stays centered here—in the “me” part of your brain. When you allow yourself to stay focused in these high-flying altered states, the “me” part of your brain rearranges itself naturally. It resets. It rewires.

Who you believe yourself to be changes every time you focus deeply. Every insight that lands, every piece of yourself that you see in the mirror of focus, changes the big picture of who you think you are.

Bring your awareness then to the very back of your head—the back of your brain—where your spine meets your skull. These regions connect with, yes, a reptilian part of your brain, meaning it is the most ancient survival instinct stored here.

This part of you takes over under pressure, under threat, and when situations in your life feel as if you’re under immense threat.

Can you remember times when you felt this back of your neck tense up—tighten, contract—when the tension here prevented you from being able to control yourself?

Just as much, this is a channeling chakra. When you develop the level of focus and you overcome the survival instinct, this center allows you to surrender to a cosmic energy—your own soul—to, in this sense, let go and let your body be moved.

It is only when you can relax this part of your body—when you allow the light to reach there—that this becomes possible.

Sometimes, as this does, you feel an energy shoot from the back of your neck into your ears, and the voices of your guides become clear. Just as much, energy moves down your back, opening your heart—softening.

It is only here, when you overcome that survival impulse, that the heart fully opens. The spiritual gifts fully emerge, and you know what it’s like to be human and soul.

Now allow all of these connected centers to send waves of energy down your body, noticing any places in your body where tension still holds. Allow this light to soften those places. Allow yourself to sit with those discomforts, and let it simply be.

And finally, let all of this light center into your own heart, and feel yourself as a massive ball of light with your heart as the center.

From your heart, see a web that emerges—connecting your heart to the heart of every being on this planet. See how vast that web is, and how energy travels from human to human.

Recognize the energy that moves through you—the way that each of your interactions is a transmission of a particular frequency through this web. You transmit this energy to another person, and that energy affects how they transmit their energy through the web—forever.

Every action ripples and continues. No action occurs in isolation. It has a continuity. It has an endless waveform.

Right now, consider all of your actions from the past and how they reverberate through this web right now. Words that you said. Art that you shared. Actions that you took. Ways that you cared—or ways that you harmed—radiating through this web from the past to the present in memory, word, and understanding.

The more you focus, the more you will recognize yourself to be a part of that massive web.

We thank you for allowing this transmission to take place now

Participant:
Thank you for that. I found that meditation quite handy, especially focusing on the different parts of the brain to bring the different light in. That’s something new I will add to mine. Thank you.

I was curious about something. I know that all time is simultaneous, but for entities which have never incarnated as human, what would be their biggest challenges in doing so?

Pleiadian Council:
You mean beings who have never incarnated as human and then choose to do so?

Participant:
Yes.

Pleiadian Council:
Well, they do not understand the rules as well. They base more of their experience on the understandings that they have from other lifetimes in different realms. For this reason, human life can feel a little bit alien.

There can be a reluctance to participate in some of the systems. Generally, this is because these sorts of beings are here to change systems, create new systems, and challenge norms.

But a soul who is, in that sense, new to Earth must overcome that reluctance and embrace their mission in doing something very unconventional.

Participant:
Thank you. That was interesting.

Participant:
Hello. Yeah, it’s like moving to a foreign country. You don’t know the language completely. You don’t know all the rules. You have to acclimatize, but you still bring some of your culture with you.

Pleiadian Council:
Yes, we could put it that way.

So let’s continue.

Participant:
Hello, sorry about that. I have a question about the Tower of Babel. I’ve obviously read the story, but I wanted to hear your perspective on how that might look today.

Pleiadian Council:
Well, the idea of the mythic telling is that there was a time of unity among humans with one language that eventually became many.

You could say that certainly, as the first humans emerged in Africa, there was an initial language spoken by a small group that would eventually spread around the world.

In this way, newer and clearer languages emerged to express uniqueness in different parts of the world.

It also reflects the notion that there are thousands of ways to say the same thing.

Participant:
Okay, thank you.

Participant:
Hello. I am Vol, and I wanted to ask if I come from another world.

Pleiadian Council:
Yes, but you are born into a human body, and so your human body is also part of who you are.

Your soul is connected to other star systems. You have had more lifetimes there than you have had on Earth. But you also have Earth lifetimes.

Participant:
Thank you.

Participant:
I have another question. I was curious about the expressions of love in other densities and physical realities. Is it related to incorporating more elements of the higher realms into that particular incarnation—things like connection, joy, and unity?

Pleiadian Council:
You could say that, yes, the same mechanism is true. It is about expanding awareness, love, and connection.

It is just as much about acting on passion, acting on what is true, and living from that place of connection.

In different realms, beings are more highly telepathic. They allow themselves to be aware of subtle layers of reality. They can just as much be connected to incarnations in other planes of reality and simultaneously be present in their expression in their own realm.

So it is different in each world, but the mechanism underlying it is the same.

Participant:
Would it be safe to say that the more you can comprehend your greater awareness, the more love you can feel or experience?

Pleiadian Council:
Love is not so much something you understand as something that you do.

Love is an action. That is again why we say, “Act on your excitement.”

It is in doing what you love that you experience love, and understanding comes later.

You cannot necessarily understand love. You can only experience it. It is beyond understanding, because understanding itself is a rational concept.

Participant:
Makes sense to me. Thank you.

Participant:
I am going to move to Paris, and I wanted to know if that is an amazing idea or rather not.

Pleiadian Council:
How do you feel about it?

Participant:
I feel great about it, but I’m also scared a lot.

Pleiadian Council:
If you weren’t afraid at all, would you still do it?

Participant:
Probably not.

Pleiadian Council:
If you weren’t afraid, you wouldn’t do it?

Participant:
I don’t think so.

Pleiadian Council:
What would you do instead if you had no fear?

Participant:
I think maybe it would be boring. I don’t know if I would do anything at all.

Pleiadian Council:
So you are saying everything you do is driven by fear?

Participant:
No—well, not exactly. I would say creating art, making energy with people, things like that.

Pleiadian Council:
Yes, you have to work with fear. But better is to do what is exciting.

When you do what is exciting, you naturally overcome fear in the process.

So the question is: what excites you the most?

If you are afraid of it, that is simply a sign that it is an opportunity to develop courage.

Courage is not fearlessness. Courage is the ability to do what feels right for you despite the fear that is present.

When you do that, you tap into a sense of flow and a greater sense of love and expansion. And certainly this is of the highest benefit to you and those around you.

Also remember: on every path you take, you will encounter challenges and obstacles. Sometimes things do not go as you want them to.

That does not mean something has gone wrong. It means you are being challenged. And challenge is one of the best ways to learn new lessons.

Sometimes your excitement leads you into obstacles so that you can overcome them.

Learn to trust that feeling of intuition—that sense of yes, this is what I want. That is what drives your life.

There is a need to be rational as well, but that does not mean being fearful.

Participant:
Thank you.

Pleiadian Council:
So what might hold you back? Why do you question what you feel drawn to do?

Participant:
I think because where I am now, I see no future for myself. Paris might not be the perfect place either, but I see more opportunity there.

Pleiadian Council:
Then follow the opportunity and see it as a stepping stone.

You already know that where you will ultimately end up is something different. But this step may bring you new ideas, creative inspiration, new contacts, and new information that lead you to the next step.

Participant:
Yes. Thank you.

Pleiadian Council:
So follow your heart. Say yes to that feeling of excitement and allow it to help you overcome fear.

Over time, it becomes easier—not because fear disappears, but because you continue to do what feels right despite it.
